Implementation of the EU-wide tendering process
At its 10th anniversary a new concept for the permanent exhibition is to be designed as well as implemented.
Supported by C&E Consulting und Engineering GmbH, Consultants all over Europe were invited for tenders regarding this design competition. The architectural office Space4 GmbH from Stuttgart was awarded and is therefore responsible for the design of the exhibition.
Until April 2014, the permanent exhibition of the Industrial Museum of Chemnitz at the listed site Zwickauer Straße recorded about 625,000 guests.
The objective of the redesign was the strengthening of interactive activities as well as the strengthening of offers regarding museum education.
