STRUCTUAL ENGINEERING

Extension (building 1A):

• Construction of a school building of solid construction, 4-storey, overall length 107 m
• Disconnection in two building sections via expansion joint in partial areas of 51 m and 56 m
• ceilings (partly cantilevered) made of prefabricated floor slabs supported on walls and downstand beams
• bearing walls in masonry, partly reinforced concrete columns and reinforced concrete downstand beams as floor bearing
• stair flights and main landings as prefabricated construction, halfpaces made of in-site concrete with noise control-technical separation
• strip foundations under walls, isolated foundation under thereinforced concrete columns
• construction of the floors as membranes with uninterrupted peripheral tie beam for degradation of the wind loads into the cross walls and longitudinal walls

Renovated old building (building 1B):

• building complex, composed of a three-storey front building, three-storey central block as well as a one-story addition
• new gable roof as purlin roof with bitumen covering and ribbon windows in the corridor area just in the central block
• new bearing walls in masonry, foundation on strip foundations
• dismantling of the existing engine-room of the elevator, construction of a passage
• heightening of the one-storey addition on two floors with masonry walls and saddleroof girder
• peripheral tie beam construction for horizontal strutting of the wall construction

Villa (building 2):

• no static intervention into the building substance

Boiler house (building 3):

• conversion of a part of the boiler house into a construction hall
• renewal of the roof covering and the wall covering
