Reconstruction and Restoration of historic “Pumpwerk Chemnitz“ partial Project “Trinkwasser-Verteilerkreuz”
OBJECT PLANNING
The building, consisting of two halls and one residential building (built with a cellar), was built in 19th century for supply of drinking water for the city of Chemnitz. Because the need for drinking water lowered as years went by, the whole facility did not meet the requirements anymore. So it was decided to update the whole facility. The new system does not extend so large, because of the requirements, so the remaining spaces can be used otherwise. Today they are used as event centre with gastronomy. The Project was implemented in two Lots, to fulfil the available financial resources. The new system was located in the cellar of the halls.
