Sports Hall "Sachsenhalle" in Chemnitz
OBJECT PLANNING OF BUILDING
The building was created according to the reinforced-concrete method with a flat roof in 1978.
In order to meet the requirements of the fire protection concept, the corresponding components were renewed and all wood panels removed in order to keep the building free from fire loads.
The refurbishment of the hall ceiling was realised by the reconstruction of an acoustic ceiling made of ribbed drawn metal with acoustic support. Thus, the requirements of the room acoustics were fulfilled.
The facade received a necessary insulation in accordance with the applicable Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV). In this context, the main entrance area with a transom-mullion construction, as well as the porch construction of the sportsmen's entrance, was renewed.
In addition, the building received a new lightning protection system and exterior lighting.
